Sponsored Students
Each year our sponsored students succeed in their studies thanks to all of you
who have donated this year. To date we have seen almost all of our students
graduate high shool and over 100 enter college. All of our college students
have graduated and most have found good paying, long term jobs. Through
the hard work of these students and the good jobs they’ve found, their lives are
forever changed. No longer will they live in poverty!
Your partnership in this process is vital. We rely on individual donors to
provide the financial support for this program. Each year we raise only what’s
needed to support around 60 students, which means we need new funding
each year.
We ask you to consider supporting this life changing program by committing to
support at least one student at $14/month or $168/year.
Please help sponsor a student and change a life.

Impoverished Family
Wuji’s family is particularly poor which means they struggle keeping their
daughter in school. With the help of extra donations we were able to add her
to our program this year.
Girls are particularly at risk of not having an adequate education. Boys are
sometimes still favored over girls for such benefits, so we’re glad we can help
Wuji.
Help for Girls
ADuo is another village girl from a very poor family. Without our help she
would likely return to her home to spend her life on the farm planting and
hauling potatoes and caring for the livestock.
Family Illness
Wuha’s father has been ill for some time requiring constant medication leaving
the brunt of the farm work on his mother’s shoulders. Due to his father’s
illness and related costs, they find it very difficult to keep Wuha and his
younger brother and sister in school. Thankfully, we are able to help a little bit
through the sponsorship program.
Student Reunion
Each year it is a pleasure to get together with former sponsored students. We
learn about new jobs, marriages, and the birth of their children. We also learn
of how our assistance has made a profound difference in their lives, both
academically and culturally. Many have learned the gift of helping others and
are now giving back to their communities.
College Student Picnic
Each summer we gather as many of our current and former college studnets
and have a picnic. This is one means of continuing to encourage their growth
and direction.
Voluntarism
Some of our college students gather regularly to discuss ways they can give
back to their communities. It’s this kind of change in thinking that will hopefully
result in a self-sustaining support network.
Giving Back
Our college students playing a motivating round of “musical chairs” with a
village kindergarten class.
Home Visits
Each summer we visit as many of our sponsored students homes as possible.
Our goal is to better understand their situation and needs. Our college
students help in the interview process.
Reaching the Clouds
Our dream is that each of our students understand their great value and never
stop dreaming for a better life for themselves and those around them.
