Shaluo Village Elementary School
Shaluo school is situated in the middle of Shaluo village, home to over 1000
families. Having recently completed the school’s water supply project, we then
provided hygiene training to each of the school’s 300 students.
Several of our sponsored college students helped with the training and
involved the older students by showing them how to train the younger students
at the school. This method was very effective in emphasizing the importance
of good daily hygiene.
As part of the training we provided each student with a packet of hygiene
materials including soap, wash cloth, a tooth brush, tooth paste, and a cup.
Students were shown how to properly use these materials.
Hygiene Training
The older students were first given training showing the importance of hygiene
and how it affects our health.
College Students Volunteer
Sponsored students are learning the importance of volunteer work as they
serve their community. As we have helped them through our sponsorship
program, they can learn to help others as they join us in the work.

their own hygiene practices.
